My experience working with the Nesting Place was fantastic. Barb listened so thoughtfully when we discussed what I was looking for in terms of doula support that I wound up going with the very first suggested doula from the Nesting Place. Megan, our doula, was wonderful and so supportive throughout. She made sure to constantly share info with us and made my birth experience as low stress as possible even with a few tense moments. We had an excellent experience with the Nesting Place and our birth and postpartum doula, Megan. As a birth doula, Megan provided a calming and grounded presence during a long and challenging birth. She supported both me and my partner in a non-judgmental way, helping us make the choices that were the best for us and our baby in each moment. She was helpful without being obtrusive, and was very intuitive about anticipating our specific needs (for example, in providing help with pain management). As a postpartum doula, Megan has been a font of knowledge, showing us the basics of newborn care, supporting us emotionally, and caring for the baby so we can get some much-needed rest. She’s very accessible by text and phone call to answer questions outside of our scheduled sessions, and has given us a lot of valuable advice, for example on sleep and breastfeeding. The Nesting Place has made everything seamless from start to finish, including making it very easy to get reimbursement via Carrot. I highly recommend both the Nesting Place and Megan!

We worked with the Nesting Place to find a birth and postpartum doula for our third kid to be delivered at Valley. The Nesting Place was super responsive and helped us coordinate with our benefits provider, Carrot, making the process smooth.

Our doula, Leslie was with us for 6 weeks after the birth of our baby boy, and she was such an important part of our support system during that time. She did everything from holding and caring for our baby boy, playing with and entertaining our 5 and 2 year old when needed, cooking delicious meals for us (and stocking us with meals for days - she is truly an amazing cook), and just making sure the house was in order (laundry, dishes, etc). Leslie is incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. She was also so sweet and fun to talk to as we navigated all the transitions in our family. She kept our family nourished and nurtured, and we couldn’t be happier.

We had such a great experience with The Nesting Place to be paired with a night doula! They worked quickly on a tight timeline to connect us with a wonderful night doula who made those newborn nights so much easier. She was on time, kind, and incredibly easy to work with. We felt comfortable having her in our home and trusted her with our baby right away. She gave us helpful tips, supported our choices without judgment, and made sure we got the rest we needed. The whole process felt smooth and supportive, and I’d absolutely recommend them to any new parents looking for peace of mind and real rest during those early weeks.

I cannot recommend The Nesting Place enough! Due to neurological reasons, I was not able to get an epidural for my first or second pregnancies. I underestimated how painful birth could be the first time around, and overall, didn't totally know what I was in for.

The second time around, I decided to work with a doula. I knew The Nesting Place was going to be the best after just the initial consult (and I had gone through many of these with several others).

Nikki, the doula I worked with was absolutely fabulous. She was kind, knowledgeable, calm, and made me feel so comfortable. There are so many little details that I didn't think of before during, or after labor, and she made my birthing experience exponentially better.

I used to think it was weird to have a "stranger" with you during one of the most, if not the most, intimate and vulnerable moments of your life. With Nikki, however, it didn't feel that way at all. My husband and I said our one regret is not having called The Nesting Place the first go around!

Whether you are planning a natural child birth or not (but especially if you are), Nikki is 100% your person!

A friend of mine first told me about the Nesting Place and her positive experience working with Alison and Barb as well as with her doula. So I knew that I would be utilizing their services when the time for my pregnancy came. They were great in helping me to coordinate and find a doula that my husband and I both felt comfortable with.

We ended up working with Nicole and I am so glad that we did! Nicole is amazing. She was incredibly helpful and supportive before, during, and after my birth. She was always calm, patient, and grounded with me and helped to answer all of my first time mom questions.

I felt like she really had my back and was also a great support to my husband. Going through pregnancy and birth is such an intense, beautiful, and life altering transformation. It is so important to have a team of support and having Nicole's help was invaluable.

From the breast feeding class to using Megan as our birth doula and postpartum doula, everyone was accommodating and super helpful to prepare us for our first child. Megan took the time to understand what we were looking for with our birth experience, was available when we went to the hospital, was an integral part of L&D, and provided the guidance and support we were looking for in the weeks following the arrival of our baby. We had a wonderful experience with The Nesting Place and used several of their services throughout our pregnancy journey. The birthing class was incredibly informative and helped us feel much more prepared.
We also worked with Leslie as our doula, and she was amazing every step of the way. She checked in often, answered all of our questions, and helped us understand what to expect. During labor, it was such a comfort to have someone fully on our team. My labor was long, and Leslie was there through it all. She clearly knows her stuff, and we felt so supported and at ease with her.
I also attended the groups for expecting and new moms, which were a great way to connect with other moms and feel a real sense of community. I had a prenatal massage as well—highly recommend! The massage helped so much with hip and lower back pain, and the experience was incredibly relaxing.
They even helped us connect with someone for placenta encapsulation. It truly felt like we found the place for all things pregnancy-related. We felt fully supported in every way, and I’m so grateful for the care and community The Nesting Place offers. Highly recommend!

Where do I begin? The nesting place is the best thing that happened to me for my pregnancy. I moved to NJ from NY in the middle of my pregnancy with no clue what to do as a first time mom, and where to go for medical help as a NY native. I was in the market for a doula, and came across the nesting place. Little did I know that they would provide me with everything I needed to journey my pregnancy confidently.

My first call with Barb was great. She was so thorough, listened to my situation and needs, and everything from there was history. Her and Alison are incredible, warm, loving souls. They are passionate about what they do, and it shows.

They set me up with a list of OBGYN referrals, chiropractic referrals, and of course matched me with a doula. They were patient and provided me with various options to choose from, and answered all of my questions no matter how small.

I took a few classes at the nesting place to prepare for birth, and truly recommend it to anyone considering it. Not only was I more prepared when my baby arrived, but I felt confident and excited for my birth!

Aside from doula services, classes, and pregnancy group, I also received a sonogram “first look” with a stuffy that has my babies heartbeat. We also had my placenta encapsulated with the nesting place, and Brittany did a beautiful job.

I learned so much from the nesting place, and gained a great group of mommy friends from their complimentary pregnancy group and new moms group.

The highest recommendation to see Leslie for your prenatal massage! I started to visit for prenatal massages as soon as I hit my 2nd trimester and have been seeing her monthly since. I travel a lot for work and it has been so nice to know I am in good hands before and after long flights to work out the expected pains that come with both travel and pregnancy. I feel comfortable during our time and Leslie makes it fun to learn about what ails me just before making me so relaxed I fall asleep during our sessions. Other practitioners provide a glorified body rub once they hear you are visiting for a prenatal massage but Leslie provides a service that truly finds your tense spots and works on them until they are released. I have purchased several packages and will continue to do so as I can’t imagine getting through the rest of pregnancy and postpartum without her.

My family and I had an amazing experience with The Nesting Place and using their postpartum doula services for almost 6 weeks. My very first call with Alison was great. She took so much of her time to get to know myself and my family's needs and really understand what I was looking for. We set up two introductory zooms where we met Laura and then Kellie and we clicked so well with both of them. Alison just knew we would mesh!

Throughout the next few months before I delivered she continued to check in and see how I was doing and feeling. I also used Carrot Fertility through my company and Barb was so helpful making sure all my paperwork lined up with everything they needed and that the process was seamless. And it was! So thank you for that Barb!

Laura and Kelley were both amazing. I was so comfortable having them both in my home taking care of my baby! They would each spend a couple nights and rotate out to give them rest and provide myself with full coverage as I took time to heal.
They were always on time and were super reliable. Every morning they would send me a message with everything my baby did the night before like sleep, diaper changes, milk intake etc. They were also super helpful with many newborn care tips. I have two older children, but was pretty rusty!! I definitely forgot how to bath a newborn so they both helped me with that, bottle intake, sleep etc. And tips on pumping for myself.

One of the most important things was that they were both SO pleasant to be around, especially while readjusting to the craziness of having a newborn and hormones everywhere. They were a massive positive to have!!

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars and am so happy my frantic googling one day brought me to their website. The nesting place is amazing and has been a god send for me as I navigated pregnancy and now being a new mom.

The classes and services they offer are super helpful, I took a first aid and cpr class with my husband for peace of mind. Scheduling was super easy. I’ve also gotten a prenatal massage through the nesting place and it was amazing!

The best thing they’ve helped me with was matching me with my birth doula, Adriana. I had a lot of anxiety throughout pregnancy and Adriana was there for me every step of the way, answering my texts/questions, helping me prepare a birth plan and educating me about some things that might come up. She was with us at the hospital for the birth and also did home visits before/after birth, which made our transition much easier.

The above alone should make you check this place out but it gets better! Alison and Barb are not your typical business owners - they will go out of their way to make sure you feel supported throughout your journey. They have support groups for those going through pregnancy and then for new moms, both informal and you can pop on when you have time or have a question, and it’s been incredible to participate in something that is truly a no judgment zone with other people who just want to help.

So, if you’re pregnant or new to motherhood, or even have kids already but need some extra support, definitely check this place out - you won’t regret it!!

We attended two classes at The Nesting Place in person: Love Your Labor, and Breastfeeding & Newborn Care. Both classes were great resources for us as soon-to-be parents expecting our first child. The Nesting Place also offers other services outside of their lessons, like private breastfeeding consultations; we hope to take advantage of those as well. They have been very supportive to us throughout our pregnancy process. We highly recommend them.

The Nesting Place has been an incredible resource for my wife and I. We’ve learned about newborn care and breast feeding as well as infant CPR, and we are so grateful for the instructors. I used Lauren as my doula. Lauren was lovely in walking us through what to expect and even came to our home to show us ways to prepare for labor. During my actual birth, I ended up having to have a C section and Lauren was allowed in the OR with me even after my husband had to leave. Having someone I knew there was very comforting. She was also extremely helpful in helping me navigate some difficult decisions about the C section and treatment plan. Would highly recommend.

I can't thank Beth, my doula, enough for all the help and support she provided during my pregnancy, labor, and delivery. Beth was absolutely wonderful! Anytime I had any concerns or questions, she was there to educate and support me! Throughout my entire labor and delivery, she was there with me and my husband. Also, she helped me to use the peanut ball which was very effective. Thanks to Beth my whole experience was great! I highly recommend her - Beth is a real gem!

Adriana was absolutely incredible. If you get the opportunity to have her on your birth journey, I cannot recommend her enough. We had joy of working with Adriana for birth and postpartum, and she was invaluable every step of the way. She met with us before the birth to talk about what our birth plan would look like, helped educate us on what we could expect as first time parents, then she was there to help us navigate all the tricky ups and downs and changes both with education, emotional support and advocating to the doctors and the nurses during the actual labor and delivery process. Postpartum she did everything from teaching us a magical swaddling technique to doing our laundry to cooking us delicious healthy meals to help with recovery. We truly could not imagine going through this experience without Adriana and are so grateful to her for helping us bring our daughter into the world.

As a soon to be new mom, I reached out to the Nesting Place with 100 questions and a lot of uncertainty on what my husband and I would need to prepare for our son's birth. Barb was very responsive and I trusted that her team would find the perfect postpartum doula to meet my needs. Within a few days, we were put into contact with Megan and had an introduction call--lo and behold, she was a great fit for us!

Megan proved to be invaluable to our family, but especially to me as a first time mom. She was warm, not judgemental, and led me through all of the tasks required for caring for a newborn. We used the Nesting Place to match us with a postpartum Doula for the arrival of our 4th baby. Barbara was lovely to chat with and understood right away what we needed. We have had Laura come to help us out. She is kind and excellent with our newborn, Ethan. We are very comfortable with her in our home. She takes good care of the baby, while I rest after a c-section. We would highly recommend this service to anyone expecting a baby!

I am very happy with my experience at the nesting place, Allison and Barb have been receptive and resourceful since day one. I contacted the nesting place eager to find a doula to be a part of labor team. I am truly grateful to have met Brittany as my doula. It was my first delivery, and I was very excited but anxious. Brittany came to us as a backup doula, she had met my partner and I for the first time that day. She came in, she was pleasant and supportive. She took her time to get to know us and our wants and needs. She continuously checked in with me to see where I was mentally and emotionally. I had expressed that I was very into affirmations, and she provided positive affirmations and encouragement throughout the whole labor. I was in labor for 26 hours, Brittany was present for about 14 hours she was in it for the long haul, I felt reassured by her presence. She provided lights and music to create a labor ambiance that I had envisioned and made it comforting for us. My husband and I have really enjoyed the prenatal education classes we took through The Nesting Place. All the teachers were warm and knowledgeable, and we're feeling a lot more prepared about childbirth, newborn care, and CPR. Highly recommend.

The Nesting Place has been a wonderful support before, during and after our pregnancy. Barbara and staff have been warm and supportive consistently. The nesting place introduced us to our absolutely extraordinary doula, Adriana. Words can not sum up how much she helped our family. Alison is the best person you could meet during your motherhood journey! She is a beautiful soul and has a ton of experience. The Nesting Place has supported me getting ready for my baby to become a happy aware mom. They genuinely care so much about women it is the safest place in such a vulnerable time. Bonus I met my American best friend though the Nesting Place and our babies were born the same day. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!!

My husband and I took the "Love Your Labor" class at The Nesting Place and I've been participating in their weekly pregnancy zoom groups. We absolutely loved the class - Beth was spectacular and answered all of our questions. Ultimately, we walked away with the knowledge and confidence needed to go into labor as opposed to the fear we originally had surrounding labor, especially with this being our first pregnancy. My husband also has a better understanding of what he can do to support me which made us feel even more like a team going into this exciting transition. Highly, highly recommend!

We had booked a last minute birthing session at the Nesting Place. From our first interaction with Barbara during the inquiry, to the booking process and the actual session itself - everything was on point. Rachel was so wonderful and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and answered all sorts of questions. We were extremely overwhelmed before the session and left feeling calmer and more informed. We highly recommend anyone in this journey to check out The Nesting Place. I found The Nesting Place when I was on the search for a doula and could not have been happier once I connected with them. Alison and I spoke on the phone and after learning what I was looking for, understanding my personality and needs, she connected me to our doula Brittany. Brittany was absolutely wonderful from start to finish (and still today). She is always available to answer any questions, talk on the phone/zoom, etc. which was very nice throughout my pregnancy. Once I was in labor, Brittany did not leave my side. She met my husband and I at the hospital and stay with us until our baby boy arrived and even spent a little time with us after. Brittany has a very calming demeanor and was there to help with all of the emotional and physical support I needed. When we first met her, we knew she'd be the perfect fit because of this - she is warm, friendly, loving and very knowledgeable. We're so happy she was a part of our experience and was there to help welcome our healthy baby boy! Thanks to the Nesting Place for helping us find her and for the continued support we receive.

I can't say enough about our experience with the nesting place. We started with CPR. My husband's job requires that he certify annually but I wanted him to join me for the class because it is our first baby. The teacher was knowledgeable, patient and kind. So much so that my husband engaged her for his job re-certs going forward. I hope never to need the training but feel ready if I do. We also took Lamaze and Newborn care and were equally as impressed with the caring, content and professionalism! The free pregnancy group changed my entire pregnancy. I learned so much and met an incredible group of women who have a lot of fun on Tuesday nights while supporting each other!We knew from our first conversations with Allison & Barbara we were in excellent hands! They are always available and I mean always(I emailed a question @ 10:30 on Sunday evening and got an immediate response). To echo the sentiment in so many of their reviews, these ladies really care!!! What an incredible gift to pregnant women!! Everything they do is top-notch here.

The Nesting Place has so many great resources for expectant and new moms, I’m so glad I found them early on in my pregnancy. I had Nikki as my doula, and my husband and I can’t rave enough about how helpful and supportive she was for both of us during the labor and delivery process and even now 2 weeks postpartum. I love how my labor and birth went, and Nikki was a huge part of that. This is all new territory for me as a first time mom, but I feel so supported by Allison, Barb, and Nikki and I know I have somewhere other than Google to go for any and all questions I may have. 10/10 would recommend

I enjoyed a postpartum message by Leslie at The Nesting Place and I feel like a whole new person. I am 3 weeks post delivery and she took very good care of me. Leslie was skillful and professional and made me feel very comfortable. The room was relaxing and calm. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire 90 minutes and would love to make this a monthly experience. It is amazing and rejuvenating. Just what every pregnant or postpartum mama needs!

I would recommend The Nesting Place to every single pregnant woman I know! I stumbled across their complimentary Pregnancy Support Group and fell in love with the idea of the group as well as Alison (who runs it) and the other soon-to-be moms in the group. As a first time mom, pregnancy was scary and it was so relieving to have a group of women to go through it with. I also took their pregnancy/labor preparation class (Love Your Labor) which was amazing. Everyone at The Nesting Place is amazing and supportive and I am forever grateful to Alison and Barb.
