Perinatal Counseling
We're here to help. No pregnant or new mom should have feelings of depression, anxiety, or just not feeling like yourself during pregnancy Perinatal mental health problems are those which occur during pregnancy or the first year after the birth of a child. If you are experiencing feelings of depression or anxiety or just not feeling like yourself, let us set up a meeting with you and our LCSW/perinatal mood counselors.

Acupuncture Therapy
Pregnancy symptoms and working through your fertility journey can be tiring and stressful. Acupuncture works by reducing stress, increasing blood flow to essential reproductive organs, and helping to balance the endocrine system. It can also decrease nausea, body aches and exhaustion. The goal is to improve fertility success with a holistic and sustainable approach.

At The Nesting Place, we offer specialized prenatal and postpartum massage in a calm, private studio setting designed to support comfort, circulation, relaxation, and overall well-being throughout pregnancy and the postpartum period. Our licensed massage therapists are experienced in working with expecting and new parents, using positioning and techniques that are both safe and deeply restorative.
Massage therapy can help relieve back and hip discomfort, reduce swelling, improve sleep, support stress reduction, and promote recovery after birth.
All massage services are provided exclusively at our Ridgewood-area studio.

The Nesting Place provides professional birth doula and postpartum doula services in New Jersey, supporting families in Bergen County and surrounding areas. Our experienced, certified doulas offer personalized, evidence-based care during pregnancy, labor, birth, and the early postpartum period.
Birth Doula Support
A birth doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support throughout pregnancy, labor, and shortly after birth. Birth doulas help families feel informed, supported, and confident during the childbirth experience.
Birth Doula Fee Range:

Postpartum Doula Support
A postpartum doula provides evidence-based support during the early weeks and months after birth. This includes guidance with infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery, newborn care, infant soothing, and family adjustment.
Postpartum doulas support the entire family as they transition into life with a new baby.

Placenta Encapsulation Services
The nourishing and sacred placenta can be dried, ground and encapsulated for postpartum recovery.
There are wonderful benefits in the placenta. It contains Vitamin A, B6, B12, and K. It can also boost iron levels. Encapsulation can support milk production, help decrease bleeding after delivery, stabilize emotions, and aid in producing an energy boost. It can also alleviate common PMS symptoms once your cycle is restored.
There are many ways the placenta can be prepared.
Gentle method, Capsules, RAW method, Tinctures, Placenta infused oil for your skin, Smoothie consumption and more.
The Fee is $395.00 and includes capsules and tincture (keepsakes and additional items are available).
Baby Basics: Head-to-Toe Newborn Education (In-Home, NJ)
A personalized, in-home newborn care class designed to help new parents feel confident, prepared, and supported from day one.
Our 3-hour private postpartum education session is taught by a certified postpartum doula and takes place in the comfort of your home. This hands-on newborn care class is ideal for expectant parents in New Jersey who want practical guidance before their baby arrives — or shortly after coming home.

Lactation Support & Breastfeeding Help in Bergen County NJ
The Nesting Place provides compassionate, professional lactation support and breastfeeding guidance for new parents throughout Bergen County, Northern New Jersey, and surrounding communities, with virtual support available statewide. Our experienced lactation consultants partner with families to address latch challenges, milk supply concerns, pumping support, newborn feeding questions, and postpartum breastfeeding needs — helping you feel confident and supported in your feeding journey.
Our lactation services include:
